Influential modernist architect Gordon Bunshaft designed this home for himself in 1962. The East Hampton, NY residence was demolished in 2004 after falling into disrepair under the ownership of Martha Stewart.

    I do not always care for modernist architecture, but seeing this picture and looking up more information and photo’s about the house made me feel bad that this gem has disappeared. Stewart (as a Dutchman, I had to look her up too) should be ashamed.
