It’s a traditional timber framed roof designed originally for thatch, retrofitted or redesigned for shake shingles. Must have taken forever and I don’t want to imagine how many trips up and down the ladder to do that. Looks lovely, but it’s going to be costly to recover in 75 years. This will be a problem for some owner down the line.
