One can see the tiny newly sprouted gatehouse in the bottom left. As nature grows, so does the castle. The little gatehouse faces many challenges in its lifetime, the least of which is the weather.
Should the fledgling house make it through the harsh winters it will grow strong, gaining over twice its width and height in just three summers. Afterwhich a strong wall will begin to form, connecting the gatehouse to the castle. And so the castle grows.
