An archeological site turned into museum, comissioned to Sverre Fehn (known for the Nordic Pavilion in Venice and as the recipient of the 1997 Pritzker Prize) in 1967. A lot of the work was complete by 1973, but further additions and final touches by Fehn – and later also Lund og Slaatto Architects – first saw a conclusion only 14 years ago.
