This house was designed in 1969 by the firm of Buff & Hensman for movie star Laurence Harvey. The house was restored several years ago by the architecture firm Marmol Radziner, which is extremely well known for their mid century modern restoration work. Architectural Digest reported on the restoration in 2017 and included a photo of the same room – but from a different angle; I suspect the photo posted was from the same photo shoot. Lastly, Palm Springs Art Museum, an organization with a strong architecture preservation bent, had a lecture and tour scheduled for this house for last month (March 2020) but that was cancelled/postponed due to COVID-19. If they reschedule that lecture and tour, I would recommend participating…it’s pretty rare to get access to such a gem.

[edit. P.S. Fun fact. This house is in a neighborhood very close to the uber iconic Kaufmann House (1946) by Richard Neutra, which was also restored by Marmol Radziner]
