    How did they salvage individual rooms? Where in USC were they relocated to?

    I don’t understand the logic of building a huge house and demolishing it almost immediately.
    Surely that plot and building could have been repurposed for something else.

    I doubt this building made a big enough profit vs building cost.

    Here’s its entry on the LA Conservancy site.

    It was at the corner of Wilshire / Vermont. No indication of why they demolished it, but they did reassemble several of the rooms in a building at USC
