Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral in Reykjavik, Iceland at 244 ft high it’s the largest church in Iceland designed by architect Guðjón Samúelsson in 1937 to resemble the trap rocks, mountains and glaciers of Iceland’s landscape. Constructed 1945-1986

    A wonderful building, reminds me of the Gruntvig church in Copenhagen. Why the long construction period?
