It hurts the most when demolitions happen within recent time. Even with preservation societies to protect them developers will still find ways to slip by them like the cockroaches they are. I always have to feel on edge about losing buildings like this. When will the carnage end?! (I know the answer is never jk.)

TIL there’s a Christopher Newport University. Apparently it’s public and has over 5000 students. And in Virginia. Though I’m not in the neighborhood, I’m surprised I’ve never at least heard of it.

Looks sort of Prairie School inspired.

I remember having classes there, it smelled like 60s, ha. That school will tear down anything, I’m sure the construction contractor makes sure to help out the admins.

They’re tearing down Phi Beta Kappa Hall up the road at William & Mary as well.
