    Awesome, but think the Eden Theatre on the Cote D’Azur is still showing movies, having opened in 1899.

    Edit: and I forgot right now we have the Regent Street Cinema, London from 1896 – although that one stopped being a movie theatre for several decades before going back to its original use.

    The State Theatre in Washington, Iowa, has been screening films since May 14 1897 and claims to be the oldest continuously operating cinema theatre. It is currently struggling to survive through the pandemic.
