Lived in Aberdeen for many years and this was one of my favourites.
Took the misses there late one summers evening after midnight and as we walked into the area which overlooks the beach, to our surprise we could hear voices… As we got closer we could see a camp fire on the beach.
We murmured a quick hello and headed back to the car soon after.
However to our complete amazement as we walked up and away from the castle ? it was suddenly bathed in floodlights! The guys on the beach were photographers and were taking some midnight floodlit photos of the castle
Will never forget that evening as long as I live ?
