Dreamland Tower: Built in 1904 as a Coney Island amusement park, the tower like the rest of the park was made of “staff”, a flammable material used in making temporary structures. The tower along with Dreamland park burned down in 1911.

    Staff the same material used for many of those Worlds Fairs such as the Chicago and St. Louis Worlds Fairs

    If you’re interested in amusement parks, their history, or the history of the companies that make them (like Disney), I gotta rep Defunctland on YouTube. One of the best channels out there in my opinion if you’re remotely interested in history. My mans even did a video specifically about Coney Island.

    At first, I thought this might be a negative image.

    It’s not, but it sure looked that way at first glance.

    Just out of curiosity, I reversed the image and this is what it looks like.
