Double height kitchen and dining space in a three story concrete residence with a spiral staircase connected to the roof, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia [1931×2500]
I look at this and all I can think about is the Hyatt walkway collapse we studied in my engineering ethics class. I hope someone did load calculations on the as-built.

For me, having that many support rods kills any aesthetic advantage of "floating" stairs. It just looks like a chaos of tracing lines on a drawing.

Cool space. Where is the spiral staircase though?

Way too many lines for me. Feels chaotic and stressful.

This house is for a retired couple who are from a foreign country. The highlights of this house are on the outside. This is the exterior, and the cube shaped concrete planters are protruding from the balconies. Here’s a close up. And finally, here’s a lovely architectural sketch of the cross section of the house.
