Crazy that France built a city based on a board game!

For some reason this reminds me of when I visited the Old Town in Tallin, Estonia.
It was surrounded by a large wall and you really got immersed in the architecture and age of everything. It made you feel like you were truly in the old times.

I was there last summer. It really takes you back in time. I’ve seen many castles, city walls, etc before but nothing like this. But it’s still not completely original. The whole medieval part was rebuilt in the mid 19th century with some major flaws in the architecture but that has mostly been corrected today. Also it doesn’t depict the city in a specific time. It shows different stages of the city, for example on the left side you see Roman towers while the towers on the right are mid 15th century.
