This building occupied the SE corner of Nineteenth and Swatara Streets in Harrisburg. It was one of several children’s homes in the city for many years, and survived several fires before succumbing to the last in 1945, after which it was razed. The building also housed a State Police training school for a number of years, after the children were moved to a newer facility in the 1920s.
