Honestly, as someone who used to work in that building behind the bridge and walk across that bridge regularly, I’m happy to see it go. It always seemed kind of sketchy to walk across, and it really isn’t that architecturally significant. There are probably a dozen bridges that look just like it in downtown Chicago alone. And the city of Chicago was literally [giving it away for free,](https://chicago.curbed.com/2018/6/21/17480780/chicago-avenue-bridge-for-sale) but it looks like nobody wanted to save it bad enough to take it. Hopefully the new bridge is able to serve that area better than this one did.
