Well worth a visit if you’re in Normandy (very close to Bayeux tapestry as well as D-Day beaches and assorted WWII museums in the area.) They give you an iPad that scans certain things to re-imagine how various rooms would have looked, including a treasure hunt. Great for kids too! The castle has been restored in places, as true to the original as possible. It’s a great little visit and unlike many French castles, this one actually looks like a proper castle. Lots of history here and the castle has been under siege various times throughout its history. Although it’s labelled as William the Conqueror’s castle, he never actually spent much time there, but he was involved in one of the sieges prior to his sailing to Hastings. He was an exceptional man!

Don’t speak the Ingenga’s name. He was and should be known as **Guillaume le Bâtard.** Thief of the English Crown.
