I really like how this castle looks like it was built coming out of the mountain/rock rather than just being built on top of it.

Took me a minute to appreciate the slopes on the walls on a strategic level. But now I see that forces assailants further out which allows defenders to aim down at them. Extra stone probably makes tunneling or sapping more difficult as well.
