I went to Southern Italy last year and the one place I didn’t get to see was this Castle. I was gutted.

The inside was a bit dissapointing(no militaria, just big courtyard for conventions/weddings, and not so old paintings but quite impressive when standing in front of it

I visited this place on my own a few months ago (my family rightfully didn’t think it was worth the ticket) and boy did I feel ripped off.
It might look nice from the outside but the inside is a fucking letdown. There is barely anything interesting to see other than Hall of the Baron’s roof and a collection of paintings (which aren’t exactly my thing). Other than that there is nothing worth paying the entrance ticket for, the courtyard looks more like something out of a poorly preserved housing unit from the previous century than what you would expect from such a place, the chapel is extremely mediocre and most of the castle is either closed off or used for mundane stuff. There were also an underground catacomb/prison that did seem interesting but they told me I had to hire a guide to visit it and obviously I wasn’t willing to spend any more money.
It does have a nice view from a balcony on the back, but it doesn’t make up for how shitty the rest of the castle is.

They had cars and colour in the 15th century?

Heh, some guy tried to sell me a stolen/knockoff Rolex in that archway. It’s forever Rolex Castle to me.
