This window came from a junkyard in south jersey. We had it sandblasted and primed, then built the box around it. It was super tricky to keep it under 8′ at the front door. The glass is double insulated, they are custom sizes order of the Internet. Locking down the shutter doors helps keep the weather off. The roof is black rubber sheet, pinned and skirted, then a 20$ white plastic sheet is tacked down to reflect heat. It’s not a traditional roof but it’s performing great.

Finally some functional shutters on a house; i detest nonfunctional ornamental crap like the fake shutters every house seems to have.
