    The only ruin we were able to get to on a rainy day in November. We tried Heichenbach and Schauf but got stuck in the mud and had to leave. But Schaunberg is really huge and awesome and actually has parking nearby.

    I like ruins a lot more than those over the top rebuilt 19th c fantasy "castles" (looking at you, Burg Kreuzenstein)
