    I recently joined this sub and it mostly makes me really sad. That’s such a beautiful building. Does anyone have a picture of it in 1958? Maybe I’d feel better if it looked in really bad shape…

    I remember reading somewhere years ago (wish I could remember where…) that this was timber framed and over time became too unstable, as well as being a fire hazard.

    Pretty sure it’s the same with the Whitney block tower at Queen’s Park, but someone please let me know if I’m wrong!

    Ps the Whitney blcok tower is also a very gorgeous design that you can still go look at today! Looks very Gotham City.
