This place really is something else. I did the behind the scenes tour and it’s absolutely worth it. Also went during Christmas time, and they go all out with decorations. Definitely would like to go back.

True story – the original version was too small, so they just biltmore of it

I like the main floor. Some parts of the hihse are just too excessive. A swimming pool in the sub sub basement which was only used once because it leaked. It also had electric lights in the pool which would have freaked me out.

The Donald Ross course is also very good here.

If you’ve seen the fab film Being There, this was the mansion used in the film.
The left part looks like an optical illusion, though I doubt that that was what he was going for. This building is ahead of it’s time I would say—but then again, I know little about the history of architecture.
