    Looks like Korean writing

Has someone explained to China that books are not ornaments? Occasionally some of us actually like to read them!

This is not in China, this is in South Korea. It is the Starfield Library inside the Starfield Coex Mall in korea.

How do they access the books if they are so high up?

Are those books at the top decorative books

Wow, those are some stacks. I assume they have a huge rolling ladder attached somewhere on the other side.

This looks fun and fanciful I guess, but I really hate fake decorative bookshelves that clearly have no utility. It seems like an increasingly common trend in big new libraries, and I’m not a fan.

    Those are some large books

I’ve been to that bookstore several times and ridden that escalator. The books are a combination of real and fake but obviously just for decoration at the higher levels.
