Another example of lost architecture in Glasgow. The Christian Institute and YMCA Building, built between the 1870s and 1890s and demolished in 1980. Inexplicable.

    So genuine question here.

    Why the hell were so many buildings demolished in the 70s and 80s? It seems like 95% of the time I see one of these, it’s from those two decades.

    Sad to see so many buildings like this torn down.
