Not a lot to see here if you just visit without pre-booking a tour, and there’s only one tour a week on Sunday (and none during the winter months). Without booking the tour you can only walk on some of the walls and can climb the tall tower for a euro or so, but the big house in the back and the gate house are off limits. The white building in the front is a restaurant (a very nice one). But it’s worth the small detour if you’re already visiting Bamberg; the views from the tower are pretty good.

Does that tower farthest to the right have artillery embrasures?
