I’ve always wanted to try this art piece. That idea was to very literally demonstrate how one person’s seemingly benign actions can drastically affect another person’s life. In the original setup there’s two people living in the house, so one person can’t so much as even walk across a room without affecting their housemate, and to find balance both people have to sacrifice some of their own autonomy and work as a team. A lot of Schweder and Shelly’s work is about sharing.
