I am an architect myself, I used to think of this kind of building as boring modernism stuff when I was a student, but it is after I design a couple real buildings myself that I started to understand how hard it is to actually achieve such cleanness in curtain wall. It requires strong design from start to end, accurate selection of glass color and reflectivity, and incredible construction quality to make this happen.
4 WTC has become one of my favorite skyscrapers in all New York, I pass by it on my way to work every day ( until recently), it just looks gorgeous in any weather condition – you really have to see it to understand.
