Wisconsin has come a long way in 20 years! Way to go guys!

I went to Beloit once for Alco school. Drove through Janesville (well the freeway anyway). It smelled like…I don’t know what. Maybe rotten potatoes? Also, I’m from the west coast so I had never heard of Culvers. Let me tell you, those butter burgers are the truth. (and younger me was pretty impressed with Diamond Jim’s hahaha)

When I was in elementary they took us here and they had a re-creation schoolhouse too (I don’t know if it’s in the same place. For some reason I remember the schoolhouse being at the fairgrounds). We did old-school lessons like writing on slates and practicing sewing. It was actually a fun cool memory I have!

I wish I knew the history. Who built this and why here? Was it a happy family? Do the walls have beautiful memories? Does anyone know?

What does authentic mean if it’s been rebuilt?
